"I don't feel pleasure and I don't feel pain"

Mogwaiの曲で、Iggy Popのインタビューをサンプリングしている「Punk Rock」と言う曲がある。
Iggy Popの曲をマトモに聞いたことないけど、
"I don't feel pleasure and I don't feel pain"と言っている部分が、なんとなく耳に残った。
うれしくないし、苦しくもない、
なんかそういうニュートラルな瞬間って、
確かにあるなーと思って。

あと、演劇で舞台に出てるときもそんなんだった気がする。


ああいう瞬間っていうのは一体何なんだろう。

And that music is so powerful that it's quite beyond my control and ah... when I'm in the grips of it I don't feel pleasure and I don't feel pain, either physically or emotionally. Do you understand what I'm talking about? Have you ever felt like that? When you just couldn't feel anything and you didn't want to either. You know? Like that? Do you understand what I'm saying sir?

しかしIggy Popは頭良さそうにしゃべるなー。


ちなみに、Wikipediaには

またイギーは、ステージ上で嘔吐したり、ナイフで己の体を切り刻んだり、裸でガラス破片の上を転げまわって血まみれになったり（そのまま救急車で搬送される）といった奇行を繰り返し、過激で暴力的なロックミュージシャンとして悪名を馳せる。

と書いてあって、
これを読んでしまうと"I don't feel pleasure and I don't feel pain"という言葉はもはや気持ち悪いけれど。。
